VMware Program Eligibility and Registration

What is the VMware Academic Program (VMAP)?

The VMware Academic Program (VMAP) is a comprehensive program designed specifically for the academic community. The program enables qualifying academic institutions worldwide to gain easy access to cutting-edge virtualization technology and resources at no charge.

VMware and e-academy have partnered (http://www.vmware.com/partners/programs/education/e-academy.html) to deliver a better VMware Academic Program (VMAP) experience for you. This is all done via a customized ELMS (Electronic License Management System) WebStore for your department where selected students, staff and faculty may obtain free licenses. ELMS is a web-based management system which enables an Administrator to make software available to students and faculty/staff. The use of ELMS for the management and distribution of software and eLearning is made available by VMware and e-academy, at no cost.

Who is eligible and how can I apply?

This offering is eligible to academic departments who are interested in providing VMware licenses to their students/staff/faculty.

The qualified member must be a System Administrator, IT Director, or faculty/staff member and be interested in distributing licenses to the entire department at no cost.

Note The VMAP program is departmental and extends only to the department for which you apply.
